Big Red's Last Game:

Big Red Bows Out, Saturday, November 17th, 2007, 7:00 pm, Fawcett Stadium.

On November 13th, 2004 the Steubenville Big Red Football team dejectedly walked of the turf of Dover's Crater Stadium having just suffered a season ending defeat in the Regional Semi-Finals. Little did anybody know that the Big Red would not feel the bitter taste of defeat again until three years later. 1,099 days later the Big Red would have their 42 game win streak stopped by not only one of Ohio's best teams, but the Nationally ranked Cardinals of Youngstown Cardinal Mooney in the Region 13 Finals at Canton's Fawcett Stadium. The 42 game streak included 3 undefeated regular seasons, 12 straight playoff games and 2 Division III State Championships. The Big Red closes the 2007 season with a 12-1 record while Mooney moves on to the State Semi-finals at 13-0.

Big Red's Next Game:

Indian Creek Redskins (0-0), Thursday, August 21st, 2008, 7:00 pm @ Death Valley.

Big Red will open the 2008 season by hosting the Redskins of Indian Creek. Last year the Red rolled to a 49-0 victory in the lid-lifter for both squads.

Coach Andrew Connor and his Skins will invade Death Valley for the 2nd consecutive season and will attempt to end Steubenville's regular and home winning streak.

Another jam-packed crowd is expected for the Thursday night thriller of late August. Big Red will be returning a veteran backfield, but will have to replace key components on the line lost to graduation. On defense the Red will bring back 3 starters with many hungry underclassmen ready to get in the mix.

Kickoff is slated for 7:00 pm....see you there!

Dear Defenders of The Crimson and The Black,

Being a Big Red Football letterman, a friend of Big Red Football, or active Booster, your hard work and support is what makes our program one we all can be proud of.

Along with our Steubenville City Schools Renovation Program, we are in the process of remodeling our weight room; it will be one of the finest in the state of Ohio. In order for this dream to come to fruition, we need your help.

We have set a realistic goal of $100,000 to insure that not only our football team, but also every Big Red student-athlete will have access to a first-class facility.

To show our appreciation to you for your generous donation, the following recognition will be rendered to you:

$1,000 donation will include a 8X10 picture of you or your family, along with a bio, plus year played, jersey number, and position.

$500 donation will include a 5X7 picture, along with name, year played, and your jersey number.

$250 donation will include your name on a plaque signifying your donation.

$100 donation will include your name on a plaque signifying your donation.

We will also entertain the thought of naming our room after any major donors.

Along with your donation, please include one or two of your fondest memories of your days as a Big Red Football player. We are in the early stages of preparing a book entitled "What It Means To Be A Defender Of The Crimson & The Black", and we would like to include as many of these memories as possible in the book.

Again thank you for your time and your support. We really do appreciate your help.
